The Dilemma Of Dad and Mom Issues

"The dilemma of not only Dad issues but that of Mommas as well. Is a delicate subject. That like that of so many other contradictions within the colonized community. Many times are left to be summed up from a simply subjective emotional perspective. By no means, not to negate that it should have an emotional impact. However, this continuous contradiction within our community in particular. Is also in need of a political analysis. Being, that if this and other contradictions are not recognized and summarized on our own terms. They...the Imperialists, the Baby grabbers, the Daddy kidnappers, the Mother nabbers, the Bueracratic Body Snatchers! Will not only exploit it, but will 'explain' to the enslaved. How the same system that set this situation up and sabotaged the structure that we previously had. Is somehow suddenly concerned about the well being of its captives children. And is willing to play surrogate to a population of people which it has slayed and slaved. I implore you to take an honest objective look at your actors, rappers, athletes, educators, and others that are held up for you to aspire to. Take note of the unusual amount of those whom the aristocrats have adopted in one way or another. Review the extremely high toll of those whom due to their initial or lack thereof contact. Carried the baggage of disdain for Black Men/Women."

(*The above summation, though sparked by the poem presented by this Sister. Is by no means an attempt to sum up any situations. That she, herself so eloquently summed up.)
